Hello, I am artcat, the artist behind the cats and other artwork on this site. Animals were a natural focus for me as I have grown up doing animal rescue work. I love strong vibrant colors, and creating movement in my art.

I hold an associates degree in fine art, and hope to one day hold a masters degree in the field.

As an artist, that need to create is what drives me. It's a way to share my deepest most thoughts and feelings, joy, laughter, sadness, frustration, anger... My favorite medium to work in is oil sticks and turpentine, it combines the control of drawing with that wonderful spontaneity of painting.


Currently, my focus is on the avian residents at www.gulfcoastexoticbirdsanctuary.com where I volunteer.
